Description

  • fleshy, shiny dark green ovate egg-shaped, narrow at base lower leaves to rhomboid diamond-shaped upper leaves with a wavy margin, forming a rosette leaflets in tight circular rings above the central taproot
  • a salt tolerant plant found in coastal areas and elevations below 500m

  1. pick tender leaves and stems
  2. steam or boil and serve with olive oil and lemon
  3. cook as spinach or chard
