  1. Pick tender stems with gloves
  2. Wash and dry and cook as with spinach
  3. steep in boiling water for tea
  4. Do not consume raw

The fibres in the stem can be used for textiles

The stems and leaves can be soaked in water in a closed container to break down and produce a foul-smelling but effective organic liquid fertilizer for leafy (not flowering or fruiting) plants
