Description

  • glossy, vibrant green ovateegg-shaped, narrow at base-lanceolatepointed at both ends leaves with serrated edges
  • a large shrub or small tree with spiny branches
  • small, white, fragrant flowers that bloom in clusters

preparation

  1. pick and eat the fruit when ripe, yellow, firm not hard
  2. the fruit is sweet, granular, not as juicy and the skin is rough and harder than cultivated varieties 
  3. make into jam
