Description

  • lobeddeeply indented margins-to-pinnatisectdeep, opposite lobing leaves, similar to Dandelion, forming a rosetteleaflets in tight circular rings above the central taproot
  • small white flowers form in clusters
  • heart-shaped seed pods, which resemble tiny purses

preparation

  1. pick tender leaves raw for salad
  2. the leaves have a mild, slightly peppery flavour, similar to cabbage or rocket
  3. extract the juice for a healthy drink
  4. steam, boil or add to a stir-fry
  5. steep a handful of fresh or dried leaves in hot water for tea
