The Common Mallow is arguably the most common forageable plant. It is prolific, abundant and persistent. It can grow in poor soil, rocks, on sandy beaches and if watered can be found all year round.

The Wild One has used the leaf as the key symbol to show where the leaf of a plant is edible.

It is easy to cultivate, just leave the tiny heart-shaped baby plants to mature.
