Description

each leaf is composed of several leaflets, which are arranged in an alternate pattern along the stem. The leaflets are ovateegg-shaped, narrow at base or ellipticoval-shaped, small or no point in shape and have serrateteeth forward-pointing margins
the upper surface of the leaflets is typically dark green, while the underside is lighter in colour
grows in dense thickets and can reach heights of up to 2 metres
its stems are covered in thorns
